900 miles to get a S-Crew!
Friday, I left Tampa in the wee hours and drove approx 450 miles to Holly Hill SC to get my Super Crew at Al Bilton Ford...and then drove back same day. What a great buying experience. $200 under invoice. I signed two pieces of paper, handed them my check and I was out the door. No additional adds on or any of that stuff. Al Bilton himself was the 1st one to greet me and he and I had a great time talking. He Call Mike Buckley at 803-496-3150 if you want the same deal. He said he's sold over 30 trucks to out-of-staters this way and I can see why. They even let me leave the car that I drove there at the dealership until someone can come and get it in a few weeks.
Man, what nice truck. The deep wedgewood blue and beige combo is VERY rich. And the ride? Whoo wee. No noise at all and my moonroof gave me zero trouble with noise at high speeds. The 5.4 v8 is plenty of power for me. My friends and neightbors have been coming by the past few days to check it out and they all love it. You ought to see the guys react when I pull out the bed extender. Wife is smitten as well...dogs too. The only critter that doesn't like it is the bird in the front yard that's taken up target practice (if fact it dive bombed me once), but I have a "cure" for that nonsense.
Enough gushing and platitudes for now.
