Post HELP! Check Engine Light is on....

Hello,

Tonight I installed the Airforce One air intake kit. It looks, sounds and performs great, but my check engine light will not turn off.

Can anyone give me some help?

As for the Airforce One, it's a cool mod. It looks great, fits nice and sounds neat when you give it some juice. The instructions say that it should take 1/2 an hour to install, but it took me just over 2 hours. I'm no wrenchhead, but I think 1/2 an hour is a little quick.

The instructions are decent, but I had to call them a couple times for some clarification.

Anyway, if you can help, let me know.

Thanks,

Wing

Cool

Did you reseted the computer? After any mod you need to reset the computer by unplugging the battery for about 30 minutes.
Hope this helps.

wing did you get rid of the Gen II? and still having problems?

If so, did you reinstall the factory intake to see if it cleared it up? I know you thought you might have damaged the sensor. How that.

Seems very unlucky/unlikely that two intake systems would give you the check ignition.

F150agogo, I didn't ever have the Gen II. I went directly from stock to the Airforce One.

Red Screw, I'll try disconnecting the battery tomorrow.

I think the problem is that when I first started it, I forgot to connect the MAS Airflow sensor, so the light came on, but it's plugged in now so the light should go out.

The AF1 is a cool product. I reallly like it. I hope I can get this resolved.

GOOD NEWS! Today when I left for work, the light didn't come on and it has stayed off all day (about 70 miles).

I think the computer just needed to adjust to the air intake.

Those of you with with air intakes, do they make a hissing sound?
