Exclamation Check your tranny cross bar member!

Since I pulled off the lot, my truck has made a popping sounds when taking off of slowing down. I sounded like 4X4 disengaging, or like a piece of cardboard in my drive shaft sliding back and forth. After taking it to the shop, they told me that one bolt was missing from the tranny cross bar member, and the other was hardly hanging on. IT CAME LIKE THIS FROM THE PLANT!!! Next time your under there, check them out. My tranny was jolting back and forth because it had no restraint...now she's as smooth as butter!!!

Unhappy

Wish I could man...but no digi. cam. It's the black bracket / brace that connects to both sides of the frame, and sits directly under the tranny. I think it's something like 3' X 10". It has only (2) centered bolts on it.

No problem man. Nice truck, and family. congrats. I've spent more time under the truck, than inside. Today, I tightened all the exhaust fittings and the heat sheilds. Just looking for something else to mod. / improve.
