Paint Defects??
I was washing and waxing my supercrew, when I noticed about five very small paint defects. It looks like they painted over dust or something. Very small bubbles, that look like they would pop like a zit if I pushed on them. All the defects are on the bed.
Has anyone else noticed this? Does Ford fix things like this, or will I have to just deal with it on my own.

ACAPILOT,
When you say "All the defects are on the
bed". Do you mean on the bed floor or on the
bed side panels?
I have multiple paint defects on my SCrew
including a bubble on the driver's side
composite bed panel. Yes, these bubbles will
ultimately break open. I also have debris
in the paint and under the paint all over the
truck as well as fish-eyes and scratches in
the composite bed panel. It also has what I
consider excessive orange peel.
I am giving Ford a chance to work on these
problems. It was going well at first but
they are starting to act as if they don't
care about my satisfaction or future purchases.
I'll reserve my full "flame or praise" until
until final resolution.
Good luck...

Yes, the paint defects are on the composite bed panels. I found one on the front right fender. I will take it to the dealer on friday when I return from my trip.
This will be the first time dealing with Ford. Sure hope it goes well!!!

You guys sound pretty lucky compared to what I got stuck with.
For starters, the inside of the bed looks like someone poured the excess paint over the side causing a run in the clearcoat acroos the full length of the pass inner bed panel. Secondly, the pass rear corner post in the bed has a lot of the "orange peel" ontop of having a BAD run in the paint. I have the little bubbles along the driver rear door the pass frint door and the tailgate. The front driver side at the bottom of the grill was installed wrong and it has scuffed the paint to bare metal, and to top it all off for the exterior, there are the little bubbles all over the roof of the truck.
Now on to the interior, the leather is pulling away from the steering wheel on the left side, there is a huge nick in the dask just under the SRS air bag, the steering column cover has scratches in it, the driver rear door handle has scratches in it, and the headliner with the sunroof looks like a two year old installed it.
I got a hell of a deal from the dealer, and they promised me (luckily in writing) that everything would be fixed before O made the fist payment on the truck. Needless to say, the payment coupon came to day, and I called them to let them know that I would not make a payment on the truck until it meets my satisfaction. They understood, and are going to get the dealer to reimburse me for the first months payment as well as contact the dealer to stay on top of things to get this stuff fixed, so that they don't have to eat another payment.
Sorry this is so long, but I had to vent, and no one else around me seems to care.
