Contemplating ordering and installing the wood grain kit for my screw. Has anyone else done this? How does it look? Was it easy to install. Any advice, thoughts , comments, etc. would be appreciated! Brad.

 

I saw one on the lot that was done by the dealer's van conversion group. It looked pretty good, I may do it myself sometime (have to get the truck first ;-) )

 

Brad, are you looking into the molded dash kit or a flat dash kit? I have currently added an 11 piece molded dash kit to a project Supercrew I am working on and it looks really nice. Let me know via email or message board.

Installed the Ford wood grain kit shown in the Ford accessory catalog. Cost was about $225, and included the face piece for the radio/ac surround, and all four doors. Went on very easily (except be careful with the cleaning pads...will strip the paint off the dash). The center piece looks great with the tan dash and leather. The door pieces aren't as precise a cut, so they don't fit as nicely and look cheap in my opinion. But overall, it sures dresses up the interior and breaks up the montone dash.

 

If you go to www.preferred-customs.com, (PCC)they have over a dozen different types of wood. Also www.dashboardsplus.com. For the money, you can get a lot more pieces too. I was looking at an 18 piece real carbon fiber kit for an F-150 for $214 from PCC. There are pieces for the console, moonroof pod, etc. that you can also purchase. I'm waiting for e-mails from both to find out about Supercrew packages.
