I just received and installed Westin CPS Platinum step bars on my Screw (after ordering them 11 weeks ago). After the long wait I am a bit disappointed. I expected that they would extend from the body of the truck, but I can barely get my foot on them. Is this the same with anybody else, or have I done something wrong in installation?

i installed the westin cps 2 months
ago and they extend nicely
i think you reversed the bracket hardware
or they are the wrong bars
search this forum for pix

 

perhaps i should clarify my concern about the amount of extension from the body of the truck. the full width of the bars extends from the side of the truck, but there is no space between the inside edge of the bars and the body of the truck.
is that normal?
