I'm in the same boat with the popular 9/18 build week. I wonder how Ford is going to crank out everyones Supercrew all in one week? Did you order yours through Sarat in Agawam? Thats where I ordered mine from.

NorthCrew,
I ordered mine from Marcotte in Holyoke.

I'm trading in a 1997 Merc Mountaineer....Back in July it had 43,000 miles on it, loaded...leather, moonroof,cd changer etc...

I have 45,800 on it now and will probally put another 1500 to 2000 miles on it before the Screw arrives.

They sold the Screw to me at invoice and gave me $17,000.00 for my trade

Vesjas,
Sounds like you got a good deal! I got mine for $350 over invoice and am trading a 91 Explorer, getting $4k for that. Which is much better than what other dealers were offering.

Question

northcrew,

Which CT dealer did you order from? I went to at least 18 dealers in CT before landing my deal at Family Ford in Waterbury. I had a great experience with them. Crestwood was my second choice but would have had to order to get what I wanted (I would have paid a couple hundered more to order.)

SCrewBall,

I actually ordered mine from Sarat Ford in Agawam, Ma. I live in northern Ct. I solicted quotes from about 13 dealers scattered around Ct. & Ma. I used both the internet and in-person visits to get quotes. The internet really suprised me, only a few dealers were competative, most only offered a near list price. Only one internet dealer offered a $200 over factory invoice, but upon visiting them in person the trade-in offer was no good.
So you bought yours right off the lot?

DR7,
Looks Great! in my garage on an old desk, Comes in real handy to hold my beverages when I'm staring at it imagining a truck around it.
The console looks brand new but with some minor damage (being yanked out and tossed around a bit). The thing looks new mostly. A little scuff on the rear vents and a scuff on the left rear corner near the radio controls. This was probally done when someone dropped or slid it out of the Expy and onto the floor. The armrest/lid has a small scuff and small tear (1/16th") near the release. I can live with the scuff on the vent (pulled it out, turned it upside down---looks better) and the scuff on the corner. I am just afraid the tear may enlarge with time. Called Ken and he said he would send a new "Lid".

northcrew,

yup, bought it off the lot on a whim with 7 miles on the odometer and a still mostly wrapped in plastic interior. (Actually test drove it that way...) I had it in my mind I would never find the exact (or really close) Truck and options on a dealer lot where the dealer was willing to deal at close to invoice in Connecticut. (I have still recently seen mark-ups over MSRP on some lots since allocation seems to be tight in this state.).

I saw the truck last Thursday at 8pm and drove it home at noon the next day. I still have NO regrets. ;-D

I think you posted earlier you were from the Torrington area, If you don't see your truck comming soon, drive on down to Waterbury/Watertown and check out Family ford (see Bill) or Crestwood Ford (Gary). Both are decent salesman and are "Internet shopper aware" and won't break your chops. (I bought from Bill, Gary was my ordering choice if I had gone that route.)

I paid ((pre-July10-invoice+500) + $169Adfee + 149 VIN etching in all glass+plates)-7500 trade-in) (I got good (read that better than expected) trade-in value for my current vehicle (per KBB and Edmunds) which wasn't perfect but in fair/good condition.)

If I had ordered it, I would have had to pay post-July10-invoice + $500. so I saved several hundered by buying a pre-July10 invoiced truck it off the lot.

(I am using July10 as KBB/Edmunds use it. I think the new invoice price is for vehicle invoiced from Ford Sept 1 on. July 10 was chosen by Ford as the last ordering date they would accept to meet a 9/1 invoice price increase)

Like I said, I am better than 100% happy with the deal I made. Now If I can only keep my wife from driving MY truck everywhere.
