i am looking for lariat striping that is silver and charcoal. does anyone have this color on their crew?

my truck is bright red and silver. I would like to know which genious came up with the idea of gold striping on the sides. it should have been charcoal and silver. maybe the exterior designers are color blind.

I agree, I am expecting mine by the middle of next month. It has the same color combination as yours.

My wife was asking about the color of the striping. I told her it would be silver until we saw one that had the gold striping. We are thinking about removing the striping depending on how it looks. I can't understand why they would use silver/white striping.

 

Im thinking the guy that put my striping on at the factory was drunk or something, All the stripe along the two-tone paint line was crooked as heck.. Theres always aftermaket striping, make it any color you want! Ive been doing pinstriping for years as an add on service at my car wash. Its increadably easy to do and pretty inexpensive. Go crazy, get creative and have fun.

The new striping looks great! Where did you get it? I was thinking of trying an automotive paint supply store.
I have a Black Lariat with the gold and red striping... looks pretty ugly.

The lower striping on my truck is all screwed up. The installer was drunk for sure.

 

the striping is from 3M. it is a 1/2" charcoal stripe with silver striping directly above it. all ends were sealed with clear lacquer

 

i just saw a black lariat being unloaded off
a convoy. it was a 2001 1/2 model(had lighted
vanity mirrors). the stripe was a kind of tan/dark tan as opposed to the red/gold on my
may built black screw. not sure what other
stripe changes are, because the only way i found out what was going to be on mine was
on this board from owners who already had one
i don't think this info is available to dealers(at least wasn't in may)

 

I just drove mine home! The people at the factory must have come to their senses, I ordered the bright red/silver combination, The pinstriping is silver to match the bottom, what a relief. I thought I was going to have to remove or have the dealer remove the gold striping.

I ordered 7-11, x plan. 4x2 Lariat. 4.6, Captions Chairs, 6disc changer.

 

I just got done peeling off the stuff the factory put on. ( Came off real easy ) I guess I had never really looked at it that close but the stuff was gold with green metallic in the center. This is on a white/silver mind you... Plus the stuff was crooked as hell. Also, the two tone paint line isnt much straighter. Im replacing it with a charcoal/navy blue metallic combo. I'll put some pics of it on when I get em on.
