Floor mats

Hey Pinecone,
Your Screw will already have floor mats. They come with the truck. I just placed a finished piece of light grey carpet (about 18in x 24in) over the mats to help keep them new. I got the carpet at Wal-mart for about $3 a piece.

My son ordered the weathertech mats for his Explorer. They're VERY heavy rubber w/out the big edge/lips of the Huskys. Look like they're well made and can "hold" quite a bit of water/ moisture. They don't look nearly as "nice" as the lariat floor matts, but I bet they last a lot longer.
BTW: You cant beat the Weathertech cargo/ trunk liners - - have purchased three in the last two years for family vehicles - - they're terrific.

I went to Lowe's and bought gray 'marine' carpet. It has a rubber bottom and can be cut with good scissors or razorblade knife. I cut it to fit the entire floor of the truck and then placed rubber mats over that.
It does a great job of protecting the floor and is mold and mildew resistant.
Another nice feature is that if it gets too dirty, you can take it out, hose it off and put it back in the truck.
They sell it in 12 foot and 6 foot lengths. I had to buy a 4x12 piece for the fron and a 4x6 piece for the back.
It looks great!

I haven't tried the weathertech mats, but I've had a set of heavy black rubber mats for 3 years now and they work great. Believe it or not, they are made by Kraco (that cheap stereo manufacturer) and I got them at WalMart for $20. They are every bit as sturdy as the expensive Husky liners that I've personally seen and they don't have a huge lip on them, but they still hold lots of mud and water. I'm not sure if they come in colors other than black - if they do, I'm going to get a tan set next time I'm in Walmart so they will match my interior better.
