Just wondering if those changes we were talking about earlier have come thru on the 2001.5 crews.

How do I find out when it was built? I looked in the driver door frame and didn't see anything.

What changes are you expecting? I'm new to this site and new to S Crew ownership.

Mine was built the week of 7/18/00 and I didn't see any changes. I think most of the changes are on the Lariot and I bought an XLT.

Wingnut. I'm not sure what all the changes are. There weren't too many. One was the keyless entry is now standard. Go Back a month or so and there are some posts that go into more detail.

There is a bright red 4x4 down the street from me and it is one good looking truck. What part of Ohio are you from?

best of my memory, changes were:

- keyless entry standard
- lighted vanity mirrors (paul and anita will be pleased
- cubby hole in dash
- passenger airbag on/off switch
- 4.6 will be 240 hp
- radio controls on the back of the center console

- someone mentioned a capt chair option for the back also

I think the only real changes were adding the remote/keyless entry to the standard equipment side, deleting Amazon green for drk highland green and some kind of beige color for gold? and of course raising a few options costs, though they said they weren't. But then when are car makers ever 100% honest and truthful? It wouldn't be the auto industry if they were..........

Kenny mentioned a few changes but the 2 XLT's I looked at today, one of which they thought was mine(don't ask) had no lighted vanity mirrors, no dash cubby hole and no radio controls for the rear passenger. If these items exist, it must be on the Lariats I presume. Both trucks were built the week of 08-20.

We shall all see when our trucks show up finally.

Mu truck was built the week of 08/20/00. I received it 08/29/00. The extra features(post 07/10) are "Remote Keyless Entry" and a Leather wrapped steering wheel. That's it! No cubbyhole, no lighted vanity mirrors, No rear radio controls. If those are post 07/10 they must be for the Lariat. I have the 5.4L engine so I can't comment about the 4.6L extra hp. The rear captains chairs are on the "Harley Davidson" model only. Passanger on/off airbag switch is NOT available on any full rear seat vehicle including the S-Crew. Federal Regulations only allow a cutoff switch on vehicles with limited rear seating or no rear seating. It is expected you put the little ones in the back seat on a full rear seat vehicle. So forget any idea about airbag cutoff unless you go with a F-150 extended cab or a Ranger. They will have that option because of rear passenger capicity.

Mine appears to have been built on 8-15-00. I have a leather wrapped stearing wheel and keyless entry and neither are listed on my sticker???? I don't have an on/off switch, radio controls or cubby.
