SCrew Changes
Just looked at the new SCrew and here are some changes I noticed as compared to my 1997 XLT SC:
1. Center console on 60/40 front seat is shorter to make more room in back, and has two cup holders. Two cup holders in rear fold down arm rest.
2.CD and jack mounted behind the right rear seat compartment door on 60/40 seat. CD in center console on Captain Chairs.
3.Black plastic molding below door windows looks wider.
4.Rear seat is 60% on driver and 40% on passenger sides. (opposite on mine)Knee room is quite good unless front seat is all the way back.
5.Radio face changed
6.Short bed still has grooves for 2x4's in sides, tie down hooks different. Two pillars at end of tailgate come out even with inside of wheel wells. (why?) The tailgate looks to be from a flareside - shorter than the styleside. Guess it is because they wrapped the lights around like the flareside.
7.Lariat turn signals in rear view mirrors are outside mirrored glass, in space where normally open space.NICE
8. 17" 5 spoke chrome wheels look good. Looks like chrome spokes snap on over steel wheel and chrome center cap.
Maybe more changes but that's all I can remember.

The bottom of the doors seems to have an extra crease a couple of inches up from the bottom, compared to my SC. I might be wrong.
Where's the switch for the power pedals? Is it on the dash to the right of the steering column? If it is, I bet that's why I lost the little cubby hole (my '98 compared to my '00, that is)

Black 2000 SC XLT short-box. 4.2 V-6, 5-speed, 3.55 Limited Slip. Side steps, CD, remote entry, FORD box liner. Add-ons: Older Windstar driver's side wiper blade (with the air scoop, because I don't slow down when it rains), back-up beeper, "f150online.com" sticker and snazzy Tweetie Bird floor mats.
My third F-series: '73 F-100, '98 F-150 and '00 F-150. Great trucks!

Someone posted the doors are different on the supercrew....how? (they will supposedly not develop the infamous door crack)
Our local dealer does not have a supercrew on the lot for me to take a close look at.

Never mind my last question...I finally looked at one up close this afternoon. The *new* doors are the kind the regular F-150 needs!!! No way these will crack.
I was VERY impressed with the supercrew! Nice truck!

Thanks, SDWill.
I think the SCrew doors are from an Expedition. Expeditions have that extra crease a few inches up from the bottom. Am I right? Anybody know?

Check this out. This is a previous discussion on this topic. I'm still a bit confused as to what my truck is going to have in it when I get it. Oh well...surprises can be nice I guess.
I do hope that when I ordered captains chairs they don't come in the back also. I really wanted that fold-down functionality of the rear bench for some inside cargo space.
Happy drivin'!

The rear captains chairs are only on the Harley Davidson Edition Screw - I do believe.
