Running boards for the Supercrew
Does anyone have aftermarket boards that look pretty close to stock? I made the mistake of not insisting on them when I bought my truck, now the $250 list price for the cab steps looks like a bargain.
My dealer didnt like them so he did not order his first crews with them. Now the parts dept. wants $700 for them if I order all the parts separately. (That is a discounted price, supposedly.)
I purchased some universal black boards with lights, but they were too short since they turned out to be for an Expy/extended cab.
Anybody had any luck?

Maybe DTA has improved in the several years since you put Ultraboards on your Sub, because I experienced none of the problems you write about!
My boards arrived before scheduled, with all parts, and I found the boards relatively easy, but time-consuming, to install. They protrude the perfect amount for my taste, add a nice look to the truck that is both classy and unique. I found no complaints with DTA or their boards. In fact, I have referred several admirers to their website.

ESC,
You could be right however anyone dealing with them "directly" should use caution. At the time I dealt with them the DTA site was actually ran by someone representing them. DTA selected when he spoke for them and when he didn't after the fact. All parts were in my kit and the original kit was delivered on time if I remember correctly. Things went downhill from there. Due to the time lapse since I've dealt with them I only recommend caution in dealing "directly" with them. I strongly suggest that anyone dealing with their website first call DTA and find out if you are dealing with the factory as the website seems to indicate or someone who is an independent authorized(semi-authorized?) Internet representative. There is a major difference if they are still handling problems as they did when I had one. I also felt the way the website was set up at that time was misrepresentation at best. Basically a solid product if they now extend a little further than they did on my Suburban but questionable business practices make the company unattractive unless they have corrected their problems.
