Anyone have any info on the scheduling of ordered Screws?

I ordered mine 7/14...as of 8/10/00 VOPC still indicates "clean and unscheduled...has not been serialized at this time"

Almost a month from order to scheduling...I know I am being impatient but I would like to know what, if any, hold ups there are.

G-man,

I ordered mine almost the same time and I'm in the same situation. My dealer says he has no control over the process and had no information to help. He also said it didn't matter whether he ordered 1 a month or 50 a month.

I ordered my truck on 7-3-00 and according to the VOPC, it is still "clean and unscheduled". I called my dealer today and he told me the same thing, but he also told me as for the waiting line, I am about in the middle of the pack . He couldn't tell me exactly what that meant.

If anyone hears about their order, keep me posted.

Question

Well, I don't know about anyone else but you would think that if somebody, like me, were forking over $30K G's for a new truck that somebody (i.e. dealer, manufacturer, VOPC, North American Customer Service)could cough up some info as to the reason why it would take over a month to schedule a vehicle build. It takes far less than a day to build the gosh darn thing.

Ordered about 6/6
Scheduled & Built "week of" 7/31
as of today, VOPC states "shipping by rail" as of 8/5, with estimated delivery week of 8/21.

You would think that if Fed Ex can tell you where you $10 package is to the minute, Ford would be able to inform where your $30,000 truck is to the day. I could walk to the factory faster!

Side question, does anyone know if the Ford/Duraliner bedliner comes with the closed cell foam pad to protect the paint, or should I order a pad seperately?

Well some good news, ordered 3rd july, order accepted 10 july (yes after the price increase) got word yesterday that 8/28 is the build week (they can't say the date). So now all I have to do is pray that it does not take a long time from build to delivery.

Update to the order of my Screw...

The VOPC has been upodated and is indicating that "the vehicle has ben serialized" and waiting for a build date and eta".

Does anybody have any information as to how long it was before their vehicle was scheduled for a build and the subsequent delivery date?

VOPC updated again and now have a buld week of 9/18/2000.

Dealer said the next update would indicate when it will be "bucked" or the date that it will be built at which time the estimated delivery date and mode of delivery would be given.

Things seem to be progressing.

Hello all,

New member here and I wanted to thank everyone for the wealth of information I have gathered from reading the posts.

I called the VOPC this morning and much to my surprise I have a build date. I ordered my SCrew from Leif Johnson Ford in Austin, TX on 7/22. The DORA was processed 7/26 and as of 8/14 I have a scheduled build date for 9/4. This is a short week because of Labor Day so I hope that it actually makes that week.

BTW, Leif Johnson Ford gave me straight invoice on the order ($26125). My sales rep is Vance Messick in their Internet Sales division. I am pleased with their service so far, although Vance left me in the dark for a while as far as an ETA goes. He finally did
fax me a copy of the DORA and after finding out about the VOPC, I have been able to track the order.

Looking forward to posting some pictures when it arrives . . .

Ordered my S-Crew on 06/22/00. Order accepted right away with VPOC stating to be built week of Aug 21st. Called on Aug 21st and VPOC reported truck being built this week with scheduled delivery week of Sept 4th. I turn on my TV tonite and hear Ford has suspended production at three truck plants (not named) due to the Firestone tire situation. I can only hope the KC plant is not one of them. Anyone heard anything????

Shut down will NOT effect the Supercrew. Only Rangers and Explorers that take the same tire as the Firestone recall.
