Question New options available 2001.5?

Edmunds sight lists new options for the S Crew now. Has anyone seen/ordered the new rear leather captain s chairs? Are they just like the Expy? Do they have better head protection? (Wish this were available when I got mine.)
Also noted: Dual power seats, lighted visor mirrors, 4 door curb lights and instrument panel storage bin. (Has the *cubby* returned?) What about the rear audio controls? Are these just with the Lariat & 6 disk?

Very interesting.

I see that Kelley Blue Book (www.kbb.com) lists two versions: pre 7-10-2000 models, and post 7-10-2000.

I guess the $500 price increase get you a few extra goodies.

Cpafay, we got almost the same truck (sans the leather), and you live near by. Ive seen another am-grn Screw on this board from DC.

Rally time!

Hi folks,

New here. Looking to buy 2001 Lariat Screw. Very little info on colors/options/etc. seems to be available. Also, heard that new color may be available but no one seems to know for sure - awaiting the 2001 brochure from Ford but may not be available for a couple more weeks. Anyway, where is a good place to start looking to get info on colors, etc. I'm not sure the official Ford company website has all the latest info.

Thanks.....Tony

The best supercrew info is here on this site. There are over 3 thousand messages within 400+ topics related to the supercrew alone.

Options and prices can be found at edmunds.com or kbb.com

Screw colors are the same as other F-150 colors. Just go to a large dealer and look at selections.

* There are two color changes for the '01 year (for all F-150s). Harvest Gold has been replaced by Arizona Beige (less gold-ish, more olive tinted), and Amizon Green (street-sign green) has been replaced by a darker green.

Simple

cpafay,
What is the URL that you were looking at at the Edmunds site? I was just out there and I can't find anything that says it's for a 2001.5. Would be interested to look at what you were looking at.

Edmunds does not list it as a *2001.5*, I just noticed that the option list they provided had changed on their sight. As riotrob points out, KBB.com designates the changes as pre and post 7/10/00 build date models.

Must in the "Lariat" section. I looked at the XLT options and didn't see the things you mentioned. One of the things I was surprised to NOT see on the truck was lighted vanity mirrors. They push the price up and include some nice options but no lighted mirrors?? Come on !!!

Checked out KBB. See invoice price changes for my truck after 7/10 are: base price $384, Class III hitch $9.00, and stereo increase of $73.00 for a total invoice increase of $466. Maybe the stereo increase covers the rear controls.

riotrob: Have yet to see another truck like mine, except for a dealer who has a couple of 2wd models with the same colors on the lot now.

Question

NEW OPTIONS? Does this mean that some are to be standard with the Lariat? Dual power seats? Rear radio controls with the capt chairs and 6 disc? Or is Ford just allowing us to spend more of our money.
It seems that for 4 thousand dollars less than a loaded Expy ford takes away about 8 thousand dollars worth of truck. Maybe I should have ordered an Expy and bought a trailer? I got more options with my Mountaineer.
If anyone knows the new line up or packages please let me know. It appears that the 4.6 has 240 hp thats only 20 less instead of 40 than the 5.4. If I knew this I would have saved 700 bucks with 4.6..

Future Mods. ARE LSII in silver, Expy Console, Brush guard, Spray on liner.....

Here's the Kelley Blue Book link that shows the 7/10/2000 split for both the Lariot and XLT packages (people, this is not rocket science).

http://www.kbb.com/kb/ki.dll/kw.kc.n...&166&MODEL182&

And I have a comment about the 5.4 vs 4.6. Ill post it in Dutchy's thread of the same name.

The dual illuminated vanity mirrors are listed under std equipment for the Lariat.

The new radio is an option for both the Lariat and XLT (a better description listing the rear controls can be found at edmunds.com).

Also at edmunds.com (they do have better descriptions) listed new std equipment for both XLTs and Lariats include "radios w/ speed sensitive volume, cancelable passenger front airbag, leather wrapped steering wheel, door curb lights, and instrument panel bin" (quoted from the std equip section, link: http://www.edmunds.com/newtrucks/200...ylesidesb.html ).

I never mentioned rear captains chairs. That is not available (to my knowledge).

Cool

I copied this out of Edmunds and took it to mean rear captains since the leather covers *Front & Rear Center console surfaces*:

Leather Captain's Chairs (Lariat SuperCrew)
Three colors. Includes driver's/passenger's seat lumbar and premium Nudo leather seating and front and rear center console surfaces.

The link below for the Harley Supercrew does specifically list rear leather captains, which I think I must have been thinking about when I made my original post, as well.

Riotrob,
Thanks. Of course it would be for the Lariat. I like a lot of the things the Lariat offers but I DON"T want leather. So an XLT is what I have to get. I guess I was hoping that some of the new things would have been available for the XLT.

CPAFAY
I saw the HD edition of the Screw with the rear Captain's chairs. At least they have headrests.
