rear diff cap and owners manual Q
Can someone please tell me the fluid capacity of my rear diff (4x4). Ive got some Mobil 1 for it (along with a new bottle of friction modifier).
Can someone turn to page 199 of their owners manual and tell me the capacity? You see, my owners manual missing a WHOLE SECTION! And yours?

Rear Axle Motorcraft SAE 75W-140 Synthetic Rear Axle Lubricant 2.6L (5.5 pints).
Note. Your vehicle’s rear axle is filled with a synthetic rear axle lubricant and
is considered lubricated for life. These lubricants do not need to be
checked or changed unless a leak is suspected, service is required or the
axle assembly has been submerged in water. The axle lubricant should
be changed any time the rear axle has been submerged in water.
Also the complete owner manual is available at the owner benfits web site. I downloaded it and read it while I was waiting for my supercrew to be built last April.

I have had trouble linking to the PDF page, but if you start here you can navigate to it. You may have to register a UID and password to get to it...The SuperCrew PDF is 1.8mb, which I saved. If someone wants to post/host it, I'll be happy to e-mail it to them (I love DSL).
