Question New Crew Questions

I have a truck on order due in the next two weeks. I have a few questions and would like some help if someone could. First off my job requires the use of a two story ladder and I currently have a set of the Weekenders made by Weather Guard on my 96. Due to the bed shape and contours, does any one know if they will fit in a super crew?
Secondly I want to add a performance chip, but I can't find a 2001 listed on anyones website, is this something that you have to call and physically speak to a dealear about, or is the 5.4 the same as it was in the 2000 model?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I dont know what 'Weekenders' are, but I dont see how you would cary a ladder (16-foot?) in the supercrew. Im not sure the Screws have stake pockets.

I see the Screw as a good vehicle for people who occaisonally need room for 3-4 people, and who occaisonally carry stuff in their bed.

As a full-time worktruck, with a consistantly loaded bed, I would say that a longbed 150 (or 250) would make a better choice. Afterall, an F-250 crew cab (similarly loaded) cost about the same as the supercrew. The benefit of the Screw is that it will fit in your garage.

Since the bed tapers back, I would guess that a long ladder on a rack would protrude out to far to the side at the front of the truck.

Superchips makes a chip for the '01 models. Check out the computer chips forum.

The weekenders are ladder racks that bolt to the side of the bed with up rails that hold a ladder horizontally above the truck. nothing big or heavy, but they fit fine in a 6' bed, there is only a 1' difference between the beds, but the shape of the top rail, the way it curves in in the back, is what concerns me.
