On March 1st Snugtop told me they just go thteir truck and were going to engineer a hard tonneau and their most popular model shell (I forget the name but it is the cab-height with large/long side windows.

They anticipated being ready for production around April 1. They said they would take orders the last week of March. I dunno if they are ready yet.

Cool

I noticed you can also print a $20 coupon off of A.R.E.'s site. It's not a huge discount but 20 bucks is 20 bucks!

Supercrew-
Not sure, but at one point I think yyou were interested in the retractable cover being fabricated for these trucks. I got an R&D peice and it loked promising. I okayed the design (lots of back and forth), and it is due in early next week. They are not cheap but I like the utility and theory on these much better than Rolltop, pace, etc. Will advise.

F150SCrew,
Will like to see the retractable cover when you get it. If you can't post pix, please send an email to scharrison@home.com.
Thanks,

A post on this topic when you get the retractable top would be interesting for me and I suspect a lot of the other Crew(sers).
Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know of any multipanel folding hard tonneau covers for the supercrew? I want a hard cover for the bed but I don't care for the rolling ones (my mom has one on her F-150 and it has fallen apart) or the large fiberglass ones (too big and heavy). I really like the 2-pc lockable one available from Ford on the Sport Trac (even comes with a cool bed divider). That one can be opened from both ends...although I'd think that the longer supercrew bed would need 3 panels versus the 2 on that trucklet's minibed. The size of the openings on something like this would be perfect for the uses I have planned for the supercrew I am planning to order real soon now, while the one-piece models have to use gas shocks to open up the entire length of the bed, adding weight and cost.

Anyone know of anything like this?

Rob

Rob,
There are two manufacturers that I'm aware of. One is Fold-A-Cover and the other is AdvanceCover.
I'm in the market for one myself. I'm working with Dave's Tonneau Covers to try to get an AdvanceCover delivered to my place in Oklahoma.

John Hufford,

I'm also interested in some kind of folding cover. Thanks for the post. If you find any other please post them here.

I got a call this morning from Advance Cover and they told me that it would be 4-6 months before they would have one for the SuperCrew.

Cool

Finally did some shopping for a hard tonneau cover. The ARE LS II is available for order. Looks like a sturdy industrial-strength cover but the bolt-on frame is a little conspicuous and fairly high profile. Price quoted was $670 installed + $75 for headliner.
SnugLid won't be available until May but taking orders now. $800 installed plus $50 for clamp-on kit and $75 headliner (less $20 with coupon). Very low clean profile, smooth fiberglas. Pricey but well made.
Does anyone else have current info. for SCrew hard tonneau?

Talking

Supercrew, Skyjet, all,

I received the RETRAX cover on Friday. I did a fairly rushed install (torrential downpour and I had to travel with the truck!!)

I took some install pics (may go on Retrax web site), but need to take a few more. Since I need to do some tweeking and adjustments I will post a review under it's own topic in a day or two. Sorry for the delay, but want to be concise and try to note the total picture. (Gotta say though, 3 or 4 strangers admired the damn slide cover more than the truck!??!?!)
