i have had my 2001 amazon green lariat 4x4
super crew home now for 4 days.. it has captains chairs,, (good comfort) arm rests are fine, towing package, console six disc cd player, skid plates, limited slip rear (3.55) rear radio controls, running boards, 5.4 liter, ect. loaded pretty much... i'm amazed at the smooth ride that this unit gives me. this is a great truck. man ,, do i get questions when i park it ...peolpe really like it. i need the running boards though, with the 17 inch tires its a real step up into the cab.. it has performed, wonderful.. i need to get used to the gas milage,, tough on fuel right now... its a great truck,, ford hits another home run ... super crew is a super unit... in south florida 4x4 units,, with equipt. on them are hard to find ..luckly i used my ford x-plan, to buy this high demand unit.. its great to be part of the "150" crowd.

 

X PLAN? I have a statement from Ford saying the X Plan cannot be used for Super Crew or Super Duty trucks, and you cannot order one. How did you get one by them?

 

When did ford allow the x-plan?? Ford said forget x-plan on supercrews for sometime to me. I bought mine anyway 7 weeks ago.

Yes, the a-plan is available on the supercrew...and also the Lightning. (I'm a Ford employee)

dutchy,,,package on my factory sticker says audio/package 91GA,rear audio controls. it is a insert approx 4 inches square that is on the rear of the console which allows rear seated occupants to (the kids)use the radio.

 

"rear radio controls" what is it, how did you get it???

Did you order this option or did it just come with it? I am considering doing this to my truck with the Expy console. I just looked at the Ford site and that option is not listed.

Did you get the same HU that comes with the CD-changer, or is it CD/CASS/RADIO found in the Expy?

 

mixman,,, the option was on the truck when i was shopping.. i did'nt order it... it does have cass/cd/radio interface/head phone plug. i looked in the drivers door for build date and it is 7/00.
