Post x-plan

for those who qualify for the ford x-plan heres the deal... ford has offered this plan to use at participating dealer... the key word is participating. the local dealers choose not to apply the discounted program to the units they have no problem selling or cant get enough of. the super crew, and the sport trac are just a few examples. locallly they make a sales decision to not accept the programs pin number , which is issued to those who qualify through the ford toll free number. bottom line is your local ford dealer has made the decision to keep his high profit units off the discount program to fill his pockets... try asking him to apply the x-plan to a focus , or mustang,,, he will follow you home for your money,,, super crew and sport trac buyers need to shop for a volume dealer who will accept the plan on the hot units.. i used maroone ford delray beach florida....

I can understand that, however I called Ford myself and was told no on the x-plan. They would allow the A plan, but no X or Z plans allowed. That was 7-8 weeks ago in Ohio.

That's odd,I ordered 7-11-00 through the X-Plan. The only problem I had was finding a dealer willing to take the order.

I suspect some dealers wouldn't deal with me because of allocation limitations or profit margin issues.

the x-plan obviously has some program flaws in it. keep looking for a dealer who will honer it. even at a slim margin over invoice these super crews are worth the $$$$$. eye catching and solid...

Two guys at work here got the x plan at a certain dealer, then FORD told him he cannot sell any more on the plan. Sounds like the dealer had not option or he was a low volume dealer.?????????

Does anyone have the details on the X or Z plan. I think they just opened the plan up to grandsons and daughters and that now includes me. I know nothing of the plan or even which one I fall into so any info would be appreciated!
