Post Anyone lease a Supercrew? Residual factors

I am going to lease a SC in a month when my f150 lease is up. The problem I see is the residual factor is the same as the 00 Supercabs....52% for 36 months. When I leased my 98 in Oct of 97, the residual was 67%. Anybody have better residuals? I got a price of 100 over invoice and with nothing down for a 36 month 45k lease, the payment is 517 plus tax...ouch!!

I leased mine back in early May. Residual was 55% for a 3 year 36K mile lease. I did have to make a down payment (security deposit and 1st payment).

Hi, DR7. I leased my '98 XL Supercab and the residuals were like you said -- the payments were low but the buy-out price was too high and Ford wound up taking most of them back.

I'm leasing my '00 Supercab and the buyout is $1,000 lower than my '98, even though my new one is an XLT and has more options on it. This one I'll buy for sure, even if it's just to sell it fast and make a profit, which should be easy.

I think that's just the way it is with leasing these days. Be sure to check the interest rates, though. You just might want to buy instead of lease, say if Ford is offering 0% or something like that on a promotion.

The lease percentage interest rates tend to be higher on the most popular models, and the SuperCrew is definitely one of those.

My third F-series: '73 F-100 Custom 240-cube 3-speed, '98 F-150 XL-SC 4.2 5-speed, and '00 F-150 XLT-SC 4.2 5-speed. GREAT trucks!
