Rare amazon green supercrew.
You dont see too many of those amazon green (street sign green) supercrews driving around. Sure, Ford produced a lot of amazon green F-150s - but not supercrews (Ford too busy pumping out thousands of those purpley-blue crews). Now it has come to me, Ford will never make another amazon green supercrew again.
During the down time, i jumped into a thread on the Blue Oval News (www.blueovalnews.com) message board pertaining to the amazon green color. I knew that the color (along with harvest gold) was not going to be offered on the 2001 F-150s, but as it turns out, they are not accepting any more orders for the amazon green supercrew either. Ford is switching all of their trucks to highland green. I assume that this color will be darker than the amazon.
I Love the amazon green color! I searched all the dealer inventories (www.dealervehicles.com) within 500 miles. I found a few - and I bought one (if you want one, better get it fast).
I, like several of you out there, am the proud owner of a *rare* amazon green supercrew.

Rare color, huh? I got mine 'cause I liked it best of the ones on the lot, green is my favorite color, and my friend Mike said "don't get a black one 'cause I'm getting one!" I guess I lucked out. My second choice would have been Chestnut or Harvest Gold.

Sounds interesting, BUT up here in Northern Virginia I have seen maybe 20 Supercrews and I know 10-12 had to be the green (no they weren't the same 1 or 2 trucks!! 
) The second color has been the deep wedgewood blue. My wife laughs because she said I need to do something so when she is riding around the county she doesn't toot at all the other Amazon Supers!!!!!!

Well then, Bright Red must be really rare! There are only 3 of these here in town. Then there is a couple of white ones, a chestnut brown one a black one.... come to think of it, I can not say that I've ever seen a amazon green SuperCrew in person! Maybe they are rare!
Whatever the color is, I think this little fact is more important to me, "I got a first edition!".

You guys are bunch of teases. I ordered my SC the other day and we got to the enter button when the order got rejected by the computer and it substituted Dk Highland green instead of my favorite, Amazon Green.
The result of my cursing and moaning was that we ended up ordering 2 trucks the same way but the 2nd one with my 2nd choice color of island blue. We'll see what the green looks like when it comes in, then go from there.........DAMN....DAMN....DAMN

Yeah, Northern Va is/was a good place for amazon crews. I got mine at Ourisman Ford (up in your general area). Now, I dont believe that you'll find more than one or two amazon s'crew left on a dealer lot in all of VA/MD/DC/NC.
When I was looking, I noticed that the amazon lariats seem to out-number the XLTs (like mine) by about 3-to-1.

I got my SC in the green gold two tone about 1.5 months ago, and it looks great. Got a Leer topper to match. Was unsure about the colour since it wasn't on any lots, but ordered anyways and have no regrets. Unfortunately I've been in England for 2 weeks, and have 1 more week to go before I can drive my baby again.
