Is there an easy way to *upgrade* the overhead console to include other display information such as miles per gallon (instant, average), total miles remaining, etc.? Is any of this information built into an onboard computer somewhere that could be accessed somehow?

Does the overhead console in the Expedition have more features or does it just do temperature and compass too?

I was in a Jeep Grand Cherokee the other day (rental car) and it let you set a bunch of options in addition to the mileage information: door locks, alarm settings, etc. It was kind of nice.

Actually what I'd like to do is replace the stereo with a DoubleDin stereo/computer that would not only do all the existing stereo stuff, but also play MP3s, do navigation, cell phone, and display all the trip meter/mileage average stuff...
