Inspection upon delivery?
For those of you that ordered and waited for your SuperCrew to come in...how much inspection did you do when it arrived?
Did you test drive it? What about looking over the paint for any chips or blemeshes? If you did find problems, what kinds of problems were they?
I'm just curious what kinds of things to look for as the time draws near when my SuperCrew will arrive!

Havok,
It wasn't clear from your reply...did your truck have the deep scratches in the hood? If so what did you do about it?
Also, is the rubber trim around the windows the same as the weatherstripping? Since it was sticking out, did you just tuck it back in? I wonder what would have caused it to stick out?
Were these things that the dealer pointed out (or would have pointed out) or did you feel it was it up to you to notice if something wasn't right?

Like many of you ,I waited and waited. I rerouted my drive home so I could drive by the dealer every day. The day It arrived I think I was one of the first to see it. It had just rolled off the truck.
The first thing I noticed, it was filthy.
Second. Two large deep scrapes in the front bumper, just below the license holder. It looked like the guys that loaded it, took the truck ramp with considerable speed.
Third. Whom ever unloaded it, had greese on their clothes. I had spots all over the inside.
My dealer took care of everything. They washed, replaced the bumper and removed 90% of the greese.
I did take it for a test drive before I signed the papers. Can't be too careful. Didn't have, and still haven't had any problems. Well, minus the greese I ended up finding and cleaning. I like this truck a bit more, everytime I drive it.

i had a scratch on the front drivers fender and passenger side rear door. neither to harsh. once i pointed it out, a technician buffed them out. i guess one would expect this would be noted and taken care of during prepping.
also, did not notice at the time:
one of the little rubber door stops on the driver side was missing
the bumper cap had one fastner which was not seated causing it to bulge upward slightly. even though i've pushed it down, it still isn't seated. must be a defective fastner.

Yes, examined & drove the truck on arrival-before prep and and on delivery. See my comments @: https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/000142.html

Went to take a look at my new SCrew last night - check it over before doing the paperwork today. Everything looked OK except a spot on the roof.
It looks like somebody smeared a 50 cent piece sized blob of sealent/adhesive into one of the rain gutter/corregations that run across the cab roof. Obviously done before the paint, it resulted in a discoloration and a discontinuity. Worse yet, it is still soft enough to pry up with a fingernail - and guess what - bare sheetmetal underneath.
Now I have to wait 2 more days for it to be fixed. When will I ever get to take my baby home?
