Shocman,
Congratulations.
I'm sure it was worth the wait.
Further comments now that I've driven it for a week: 1. I too am getting the hissing sound from the A/C condensate dripping on something hot. I know this was reported on another thread, but don't know if there is a fix out from Ford on this. 2. I do not particularly like the "Rose" color stripe and "Lariat" sticker. Apparently Ford hired a Gay color-blind designer to pick out these accent stripes. Silver would have looked fine with the silver two-tone. I have removed the Gold "4x4" sticker from the rear fenders. Looks better without them. The dealer has ordered silver replacements, but I doubt if I'll put them on. Replacing the accent stripes (assuming silver ones are available which I was told they aren't) would not be worth the risk of getting them put on crooked. 3. The leather seats are great looking but lack lateral support and are slippery when going around corners. 4. The truck does not come with rear floor mats. Thankfully, my salesman lifted a set from an Expy. 5. The moonroof is great, but there is more wind noise than is what I've experienced in my other cars. 6. The trailer wiring harness is a snap to install, but Ford should design a Cubby hole in the dash for these things to be mounted. (Thanks to Skyjet who explained the use of the extra wire in the harness)7. The radio is a big improvement over my '90 Bronc;, lots of nice features like the "mute" button for when you use the phone, and speed sensitive volume control. 8. Neither the glove box nor the console lock (both did on the Bronco). 9. The adjustable brake/gas pedals combined with the 8 way-power seat means any size person can drive this truck comfortably. 9. Finally and best of all- my wife actually likes it
. (She wanted me to get an Expedition)

Also, I wanted to report that the quality of the paint job is really very good. (Not up to MB or BMW standards, but good for a Ford.) After applying a coat of polish (3M Hand Glaze) and one of wax (Meguiars High Tech yellow wax), I found only three minor flaws. Two look like pieces of dirt were in the paint, and there was a mark (as if someone had touched the paint before it had dried)in the silver two-tone near the bottom rear door. Naturally, being a fanatic, I had purchased a bottle of both colors of touch-up paint when I took delivery.
When I waxed it, I also found out HOW BIG THIS TRUCK IS. The only easy way to wax the roof is standing in the bed. I wonder what I'll do when the hard tonneau is installed. Hmmmm... maybe I should go for the roll-top.
The electric brake controller was very easy to hook up to the harness. I was able to bolt it to the metal brace at the bottom of the dash to the left of the steering column. No holes in the plastic and it's visible to the driver but not in the way. When you run the harness wires over to the plug, make sure you tie them up out of the way-and behind the adjustable pedals so they can't get caught.

Congrats SuperCrew,
Dealer told me 11-12 weeks for delivery but things seem to be going faster.
Ordered - 4/20
V.P.O.C. build week - 5/29
Seems 2-3 weeks after building to delivery. That means I should get mine 2nd or 3rd week of June. That's about 3-4 weeks ahead of schedule according to my dealer. YAHOOOOO!!!

I know that I already asked this question once before, but does anybody know where I can find a picture (detailed if possible) of the SCrew with Blue and Gold. I changed my order to these colors but since there is no dealer here I'm getting worried that we might end up with the "wrong" color combination. Thanx for your support. (I don't have a clue how we would have figured what to get without this site, THANX).
