Question Regional Advertising/Marketing Fee

Since there have been numerous threads that list what we paid for our SuperCrews (or other model), I've noticed that some of you mention the Regional Advertising Fee. I've noticed that several of you have listed it as $130.

I know that this fee is legitimate and that it varies from region to region.

When I ordered my SuperCrew in February, the dealer listed the Regional Advertising/Marketing fee as $260 for my truck. Which just happens to be twice what I've seen some of you post.

The reason I question it is since I negotiated for $500 over dealer invoice, could my dealer have inflated the cost of this fee to make up a few more bucks without me knowing?

Here in the Chicago area, it's quite possible that $260 is the standard fee and I suppose I could call around to other dealers and find out what they are charging.

Would any of you be willing to post what your particular Regional Ad/Mktg Fee was on your truck purchase for comparison?

Thanks

-Mike

Regional Advertising Fee: $130.00 from Zumwalt Ford in St. Helena CA.

My guess is each state has a different amount. In Calif. many of the TV commicals are based on Calif. sales. That could mean the difference from state to state depending on the market.
