With the exception of the late availability items, I've seen all the "things causing delays" on the lots. Let's face it; a dealer is a dealer is a dealer.

I have seen the bed extender in the SuperTrac which by the way has a plastic bed in and out. Even the front wall of the bed is plasic. Can you believe it!?!

Isn't it great though to know that all of us will have ours in due time. Can't wait!

Make that a SportTrac. I'm tired, it's late, gonna hang out on the corner and look for a Wedgewood Blue SuperCrew.

I just got call from my salesman to tell me the reason for temporary delay was two-tone paint. He said Ford told him if I change to solid color, that it should be built by month end. I ordered on 2/21/2000. I changed to solid white from white/gold. Maybe by next week I'll have a date.

As of 3/23/00 Scheduled build date now week of 4/17/00 per VOPC.
Super Crew Lariat- 4x4 white 5.4, skid plates, 6CD changer, Captains Chairs, towing package, cab steps.

Cool

The dealer I work for has something like 4 SuperCrews already. None have the moonroof, and I don't think any have two tone paint either. I haven't heard of any delays, but unless a salesman mentioned it, I most likely wouldn't have heard about it. I have p.d.i.'d a two of them. I am impressed. Ford did a nice job on them. Also, don't worry about door cracks. The door is designed like the Expy's doors. So, they shouldn't crack like the regular F-series doors. Factory bedliners are coming soon also, as well as factory tonneau covers. (As dealer installed options). Definitely F-truck through and through. I don't have one on order, but good luck to those of you who do. I think it's a pretty sharp truck.

The people at the dealerships all seem to act like information about your order is a mystery even to them. Which is B.S.! If they want to get the info for you they can. But they seem to always have a lot more important things to do like swallowing small rodents whole or suddenly appearing next to you and scaring the crap out of you.

I didn't set out to bash people who work at car/truck dealerships (see above post). Some very fine people work at some of these places. I'm just tired of waiting for my Supercrew and things things are starting to get ugly. For instance, my wife woke up the other morning after dreaming that our truck had been damaged while being delivered to the dealer. She was PI$$ED! She gave me this weird look... I RAN AS FAST AS I COULD! I think she was going to blame it on me!

Cool

Ordered 1 Feb, I pick up the truck tomorrow at 1300.

Truck has everything except two tone and video. The dealer said he had received no word of any delay for these trucks. He did say they were getting across country pretty fast, 12 days in my case.

Question

F150SuperCrew!
Well, did you pick it up today? Those of us who are less fortunate and are STILL WAITING would like a report on the truck! Also a picture would be nice.

(But now, that you have it, you're probably out sitting in it in the garage.)

more bad news from ford dealer today.it seems my truck is back on temporary delay, they say because of two tone paint.i find this very difficult to believe since a truck exactly the same as mine was ordered from the dealer on 3-9 and is already built and expected to arrive at the dealer on 4-3. whats up with that. this waiting around for your truck business is starting to p- me off.i ordered mine on 2-17 and have nothing,no build date, vin number,or any time frame for when it will come off of this funny delay thing. any further help on this matter, suggestions would be appreciated.
