3.55 ls

i have a 3.55 open rear diff and i was wondering if there was a 3.55 ls you can buy

Check your axle code on the tag or between the drivers side doors. Most 01 and 02 screws were LS.

If, indeed, you have an open rear differential, then yes, you can buy a Ford Trac Loc and have it converted. The labor charge shouldn't be much more than an hour to install the new clutch pack and spyder gear (assuming you do not have to rebuild the rear).

Regardless of if you have the OEM LSD, the clutches are probably worn out. Going to a locker isn't a bad idea.
