I'm an aviation contractor and have been hauling around the country a 26ft fifth wheel trailer since '03. Total miles hooked up, I figure bout 50k. I got 109k on er now and thinking to get rid of the stock shocks. Good truck, just take it easy going down the road, bout 55-60, everybody passes me but thats ok, i'll catchup eventually.

I drug my dads 99 escort(blown motor) on a dolly from mississippi to tennessee(501 miles exactly)at 70-75 and still got 16 mpg lol(thank you superchips) then i turned right around and pulled another escort on a 12 ft float(screw car dollies:no pun intended lol) at 70-75 from kentucky. UP and DOWN Interstate 75( you've been there you know EXACTLY what i mean) and got like 13 mpg or so. Only thing the sucked was going up and down those mountains with the cruise on it tried to downshift into 2nd a few times. VERY scary, but other than that it does great. The little 4.6 that could lol

Wow! My motor home does better than that and it's as aerodynamic as a barn and two tons heavier. How were you towing it (flat tow, trailer, tow dolly)? My Jeep Grand Cherokee got 13-14 when it was towing the Wrangler. I expected something similar for the F150. I won't be too happy if I'm seeing the mileage you are seeing...
