8'' + lift
8'' + lift
hey im looking into doing a 8''-10'' lift on my truck (4x4)..no body lift just all suspension, i only know of full throttle that makes a 10'' but ive heard they have really bad customer service which is a major flaw because they would need to ship it pretty far because im from BC and ive also heard they have a really bad ride, truck isnt used much off road just once and a while and it is my daily driver. what other companys do i have to choose from, looking for a complete kit.
thanks.
thanks.
Check out RIZE they make a 12".. An installer at chux trux told me one time he did a full throttle that was like 12 or 14 or something and it was the biggest piece of crap. I dont know much, but from what everyone is talking if you have the money to do what you are planning to do...RIZE so far has had a good reputaton...Im sure some more knowledgeable fella will chime in.
yup your right right, rize does not make a suspension lift for old body style, i dont know what to tell ya, i seen a guy out at the mudhole he had a 10" full throttle suspenion, he never really told me what he thought of it
I know you said you don't want a body lift, but if you are concerned about the reviews on the Full Throttle kit I'd really suggest looking at the Fabtech lift and a Performance Accessories body lift. I've never had a problem with mine. Heck, I've never read of anyone having a problem with a PA body lift. Most bad reviews on body lifts come from people that jerry rigged one up.
body lifts are just the cheaper way of lifting the truck wich i dont want to do, i also dont want that gap even though u can get covers to cover it im just not to fond of body lifts at all..
so the only 8'' or bigger suspension lift kits for our trucks are the full throttle?

truck is pretty much a pavment queen, its only seen off road a few times sence my uncle baught it brandnew in 03...only use it to and from work in all weather and camping and ill take it 2 get a bit muddy on the rare ocasion
with a full throttle or whiplash suspension you will be loosing parts off your truck just driving it. IFS is not made to be lifted that high nor hold the weight of tires big enough to make it look right.
you think body lifts are a cheap way to lift a truck, i think HUGE IFS lifts are a cheap way to lift a truck. If you really want/ need that much lift is time for a SAS 1 ton axles better gearing choices and unlimited lift amount.
look at my truck i know its a R-cab but its probably one of the biggest on this site, do you think the stock axles would hold up to a 40" tires thats are 17" wide... haha i know they wouldnt. Go to the link in my sig and take a look at the build thread.

thx for the info but i dont wanna do a sas on my truck lol maybe if it was a trail truck or something, as for the breakage i dont think itll be to bad i know ill be wearing alot of stuff down fast cuz its alot of wear on the truck having it that big but i dont do any off roading only camping once and a while...the whiplash kits look/sound decent ill do some more review on them and full throttle and decide from there...im going to order the kmc monsters (20'' in black) this upcomming weekend from the local shop.

8'' lift isnt that much lol its a truck not a geo metro i know things are gunna wear down and get weak but stuff isnt going to be breaking everyday..stuff will break, i will fix it and make it stronger when it does.i dont think i need to worry to much about some potholes and gravel roads.
on a side not i ordered some 20x10 wheels for it today should be getting them in a week or so when the show up
