What broke....under my center cap?
What broke....under my center cap?
So for a week or so I was hearing noise from my drivers side front wheel. I thought it was dirt or rust on my calipers. Needless to say the noise went away. Then I stuck in traffic and heard a rattle.
I removed the centercap off my wheel thinking I'd find a lug nut that fell off. But instead it was a right in the center. There's a cap similar to a bearing cap and behind it is a threaded rod that I think attaches to the axle and it has a nut on the end. I think around a 1/2". I'll try to get pics up tonight. Truck seems to drive just fine, but that's gotta be there for a reason.

Sorry for the delay in pics. THe truck is still at my dealer. But it is driveshaft related they just ordered a new one. This one is pretty new as the cv went bad on my first. They just replaced it 2 months ago with this one that just broke again. At least it's covered under warranty.
I'll still try to grab a pic when I get it back,
