Question 140°F ??? Can't be ok?!?

Hi everybody...

Can somebody tell me where the sensor for the temperature is?
My truck always shows me it's 140°F out there..
I'm pretty sure I'm not in hell (yet ) maybe I can fix the sensor myself or at least get myself a new one

Thx for any help

Bye Max aka DennyCrane

I replaced one on my 01, and it was just behind the grill. I'm not sure about the 05?

It's mounted on a beam between the grill and the radiator. If you pop the hood, you'll see two sensors. You want the one without the bar code - I think that one's for the airbag.

I had a similar problem with my thermometer. I just took off the sensor, cleaned up the connections, put it back on, and have had no problems since.

Perfect! Thank you very much.. I'll try it tomorrow and let you know if it worked.

Thank you very, very much... It's so stupid to see the 140°F outside-temp. the hole time
