so my screw (03) has a brake controller. im not familiar with towing, but i do know brake controllers are for towing..

dont really know what it does, but it comes on with the brakes.

it says 00.

anybody help me out as to what the hell this thing does?:o

im assuming it controlls the brakes on a big trailer that has brakes.


also, the only thing ive found about the truck that i dont like so far is when im braking, it shakes a little. it doesnt pull to one side, but it shakes a little bit.

 

What is the brand/model of the brake controller?

The brake controller will not do anything to the truck. It will send some voltage through on the the pins on the rear 7-pin trailer harness connector. If a trailer is connected with electronic brakes, it will engage them based on the voltage.

The shake while braking means probably means a rotor is warped. Does the steering wheel shake? If yes, then replace front rotors. If the whole body shakes, replace the rears.

 

its not as much of a shake as it is a grumble.. best way i can describe it.

i mean its a really light grumble..

and it does feel like its in teh rear, and the steering wheel doesnt shake at all.

ill get that make and model of the controller for you tonight.

i googled it last night and saw what it does. pretty cool i guess. i do have a trailer but its a tractor supply 4x6... just big enough to fit my wheeler in, and it has no brakes lol

and i do have the triton v8

after really thinking about it while braking this morning, it feels more like im driving over some small speed bumps about 20 feet apart while i brake. i can feel it through the body and steering wheel, but nothing is shaking at all.
