blehh blehh bleh cry me a river:
basically i need to tell yall a little background first. When i put my ported throttle body and plenum on my truck, since it came off a 1997 truck it did not come with the throttle body warmer ports on the back of the plenum. So i had to make a bypass line to connect the two rubber lines. I just clamped them onto a 3" piece of brake line and tucked the hose back to the back. It comes from the coolant passage, through the plenum, and then to the front of the intake manifold.
My bypass hose over time wiggled up to the top of the pile, and started rubbing on the bottom of the cowl support. It finally scratched through all the paint and started rubbing on bare metal. That scratching sound was reverb'd through the firewall and drove me crazy forever.
bypass hose:
damage:
there shines, now im going to bed
