Who designed this??

Ok, the auto door locks on my "06" SCrew lock at 5mph, no problem. BUT what designer made it so that when you park it's ONLY the front two locks that open!!! If you don't remember to hit the door panel unlock button and get out and go to open the back doors they are locked and then you have to xx%%**@@ and hit the remote unlock. Pain in the rear. Any other vehicle that I have owned, when you park and get out ALL doors unlock! Just my little rant.

I think it is more of a safety feature than anything. It is so when you stop someone cannot carjack you by jumping in the car. All of the doors stay locked until you either open your door or unlock them. I have gotten used to it when people are riding in the back. I typically hit the unlock button before putting it in park.

Hey at least it's not like a Chevy where you can't get out of the freakin' truck unless it's in park. I hate that.

you can disable it... tells you how in the owners manual...

we hated having to unlock the truck everytime we put it in drive.... so we disabled the auto lock... did it on a 03 and 08 no problems... something with turning key on, an dhitting unlock and what not

design

It's not the locking that I object to it;s the failure to unlock ALL doors when parking. I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee that alloed all doors to unlock when you parked it.
