(Problem) Just changed mirrors on truck!

Just finished changing the mirrors off my 2006 4x4Screw and putting them on my 2007 4x4 Screw, everything went fine it only took me about an hour or so to do. My 07 did have the trailer tow mirror option which means the mirrors were HUGE! Consequently, that was the reason for changing them.

The problem is that the turn signal lights do not work on my 07 but work on the 06, the harness was exactly the same on both trucks everything connected perfectly.

I'm lost here... Any suggestions?

Thanks
Scott.

The plugs are the same, and after reviewing the pinout the location should have been the same on both trucks! Do the front turn signal lights work on the '07. If not maybe a fuse blew?

The 06 mirror lights do not work on the 07 truck. It is a possibility that a fuse blew. However the 07 mirror lights that are now on the 06 truck work perfectly. I don't know why the fuse would have blown in one and not the other. The 2007 originally did have the trailer tow mirrors and I have switched to the regular mirrors, but I will check the fuse on the 07.

Thanks, Scott

According to labman1014 ... u need to move one of the ground pin to a different location

here is his quote from a different thread...

pins are easy...you can find the wiring diagrams for an 05 and an 07 in my gallery....all 04-06 are the same and the 07-08 are the same....ford went to a one ground for all options in 07-08 to where 04-06 each option had a ground. so u have to move a ground to another pin, but that is all...everything will work, except the puddle lamp. unless u already have puddle lamps, then you will have to wire them into your cab and tie into the interior lights, but i found that wire under the driver sill

Heres where i found that .. https://www.f150online.com/forums/20...finally-2.html

yea either move the ground pin, or splice it into an existing ground wire in the harness
