Just got my first truck!

I just turned 16 and got my first truck. an 03 f150 supercrew. Dual flowmaster exhaust, 18" wheels. Is it bad to lift a 2 wheel drive? Because thats what i have heard. i just like the way trucks look lifted. Im looking foreward to putting bigger wheels and tires on it.

Congrats! Wow, nice first truck. My first truck was an '86 Ranger std. cab 2wd with 195,000 miles. Paid $1,000 for it in '94

Welcome to the site! There is nothing wrong with lifting a 4x2. If I had it to do over, I would have bought a 4x2. The 4x2's are less expensive, get better gas milage, and are cheaper to insure.

somehow my insurance dropped when i got my 07 4x4. i had an 02 2x4 before. dunno how it happened but im not gonna argue.

i say lift it! its your truck. do what you want with it dont let other people tell you other wise.
the fabtech 7.5" would be a great kit. its fairly cheap as well. i have seen it for around a 1000 bucks.

No, the 4x4 and 4x2 have totally different suspensions on them. Torsion vs SLA coil setup.

Very nice truck for a starter. I got mine in HS and worked very hard for it! Keep up with and dont rag on it too hard.

Its cheaper to go down then up
