whats up with these Tail Lights (01-03)

i originally purchased a set of LED tail lights from www.sporttruckdirect.com and they worked great for 4 years but i backed into a damn pole and broke one. i looked back and searched for them online and everywhere they are freakin $250 or more. thats for 01-03 supercrews. i looked real close at the broken one and i dont think they are worth $250 anymore.

those are these,

I found these below on ebay and they are just over a hundred buck.
i dont understand why. besides the look, if theres a difference between them.
i dont like the style but i may buy them cuz they are cheaper. anyone have these? and how do you like them?

what gets me mad is that they sell some badass ones for the 04 and up for cheaper than 01-03 supercrew tails.

just use regular auto spray gun with clear coat and drop a few drops of black in it, then do as many layers as you want to get the desired color.

or amateur way to do it is use a product like VHT nightshades

The reasons why those old ones cost more is probably because they look better! They are priced to what the market is willing to pay, not what they cost. You don't want to spend $250, you're gonna get ulgy lights.
