You'd be surprised what a built independent front can handle. ever hear of a "prerunner?" in any case, this guy plans on performing a sas, and lifting the truck like 12-15'' for muddin', as well as a diesel swap.

What a let down. I've not read this section in forever and then found this thread. I was researching a 4BT swap into my 01 Screw back in 05 and didn't do it. I was looking forward to seeing how he was going to fit a 6BT into one.

i think he was full of **** the amount of time, money, and cuts and bruises to swap out a motor, tranny, shocks, springs, etc. is not even worth it..just buy a dodge if you want the cummins, or wait until f150s come out with the little diesels..

Heck, from what I've been reading Dodge might beat Ford in that realm...

Then again this guy did something similar...

In a perfect world, I would like a 5.9 12v cummins, with an Allison tranny in a ford supercrew body with a twin I-beam suspension. (I don't ask for much).

Guys, this project was first mentioned over a year ago by a member that hasn't posted in nearly as long. I know it was a great idea, but I don't think it's gonna happen.
