Introduction: 06 F150 S.Crew 4x4

hello F150online,

Would like to take a moment to introduce myself! The user name is Nemisus, but you'll most likely see it as Nemi or Nem! Real name is Joseph and I was given the heads up by a member here that this is the place to be for F150 owners!

As you probably guessed it I just became a new owner of a 2006 F150 S.Crew 4x4! Absolutely love this truck! I've been a diehard Ford fan since I bought my first Ford in 1996... at the time being a 1984 Bronco II! Over the years I've had two other Bronco II's, an 87 which had a custom Soft top conversion, an 88 which I still have with 76 F150 FW axles under it and 8" of lift, a 90 Ranger STX, and two New edge Mustang GT's, an 02 that I sold a few years ago and an 04 GT Roush Clone that I just traded in on the F150!

Just last week I decided I needed to get pratical and said good bye to the Mustang! It wasn't getting driven as much as it should and I found that I had a desparate need to haul things after buying my first home! I'll miss the Stang dealy... but in the end its just a car and I can always get another!

here are a few pics of the new truck:

Pretty much stock as a Rock! Aim to get a leveling kit of some kind and some decent wheels and tires very soon.

With that said, the site looks great and I'm looking forward to hanging out!

Sorry for the long intro post!

Cheers

Nemi

Thanks Curt,

For me the 6.5 was a lucky find! I actually hadn't seen a S.Crew with anything other than the 5.5.. When I looked at this truck online it didn't say anything about having the 6.5, and the pictures given didn't show the bed all that clear.... but the wife wanted to see it and I didn't mind looking! She was set on getting the S.Crew!

The 6.5 was the first thing I noticed when I got to the dealer! Pretty much made the sale at that moment! Prolly wouldn't have got it otherwise!

Cheers and thanks again

Nem

Working on this matter right now! I've pretty much decided to go with the Bilstein struts and shocks for getting it level! As for Wheels and Tires I am undecided on what size?

I've noticed that some are able to run 35's with just a leveling kit...?! Is this true and what size wheel would be the best for a 35?

Thanks again for the welcome!

Cheers

You can run 35x12.5 tires on the stock wheels, or 8" wide with 5 1/2" BS aftermarket wheels on a leveled 4x4. This applies to 17 and 18" wheels. Also 33 or 34 inch tires would even give you more clearance and look great also. I'm running 35's on aftermarket wheels with only a leveling kit.
