Cool, but will it not work with a 04-05? Not that I'm ever gonna need a winch enough to buy one, but I like to dream......

And welcome to the site.

Question:

What the heck you gonna do with a 1200lb winch?

I hope the OP meant 12,000 lb. winch. 1,200 lb. would be fine for an ATV, though.

yes, a 12,000 pound winch. it will work on just about any truck out there. im working on painting the winch mount. i will post pictures later on this week. so far it fits and looks just like the other kits made for the early model fords.
if anything it is way stronger than any kit on the market. the frame will give before the mount will. so far i have 3 people lined up to build this winch mount for there new f150's. if anyone on here wants to work something out i can ship one out to you.

Sounds great. Although I already have me a bumper replacement on order, I'd love to see pics.

I was just underneath my truck yesterday and noticed it sure has lines that have to be moved to get anything between the frame rails. Will be interesting to see.

And welcome to the site.

You may have to do some looking around. Warn already makes a setup for you guys, just not the '06 and up. But I noticed it's not offered on their website anymore, but it's out there. I wonder if they had problems with it?

I appreciate the info and I'm not looking yet, but I was just curious if his would fit and if not then why it wouldn't.

Thanks for the pic. When do you think you'll be able to get it in? and what winch you going to use. Would very much like to see your progress pics.

Myren-

Sorry, I just remembered your post. All I know is when I was looking for a hidden winch system for my '06 I noticed Warn had them available for the '04-'05 at the time. I heard it was a real pain and that warn had to narrow a winch for it to fit between the frame. Now why they are not offered anymore I have no idea. Maybe there was a recall on the systems. I wish I had more info for you.

That is very impressive.

Did you have to move anything around to get the bracket in there? What winch system did you use?
