Question Exhaust for 4.6 Supercrews

Curious to see what all the 4.6 Supercrew guys are running for exhaust. If anyone has a soundclip that will help out as well. My dad wants to put a set of mufflers and tips on but we don't know what sounds good on the 4.6's.

Markou1, That's a great looking exhaust. it what I've been looking for. Do you have a side view picture? Does your truck have a 4.6?

Would you think a single in and duel out would sound bad? That is what he wants to do. Also would it be possible for you to measure the length of the muffler that came in your kit? We are going to do a custom setup and just not sure if we need the 18" or the 14".

Along the same lines are you guys running different headers with these? Or just stock headers with different mufflers and tips?

Dynomax Bullet dumped. Aggressive sound. Some drone in the back seat since it got broken in some.

Is the exhaust pipe on a 5.4 a different size going into the muffler than that of a 4.6? Why can't a catback exhaust system for a 5.4 Super Crew be used on a 4.6 Super Crew?

Did you just have a exhaust shop weld a flowmaster in or did you go with a catback kit? If not, what series and chamber did you get put on?

I don't have a muffler on mine, I jus run a y-pipe with 2 3" turndown pipes about a foot in front of the rear axle...I like the sound, prolly b/c I'm young, but I did have a Flowmaster Super 40 on there, sounded good.....I dont know too much about mufflers, but, I might invest in have new pipes ran from the headers and put on some SLP mufflers...
