Thoughts on stripes

I'm in the market for a SCrew to replace my SportTrac and I've been looking at this 2005 FX4 with 20k miles on it. The issue is the stripe on the bottom. My 6-year-old son thinks it's cool, but I'm not so sure. The dealer said he'd remove them if I wanted. Here are some pics from the dealership (taken in the rain).

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Remove them if you buy the truck. While you're at it, remove the FX4 stickers too!

Stripes

I would have the dealer remove them but make sure the paint under the stripes blends with the surrounding paint before you sign the papers. Sometimes when you remove a stripe like that there will be an outline of where it once was due to buffing, scratching etc.

I'm not big on the stripe but I love the color of that truck. I think the stripe distracts from the overall appearance.

I removed some of the pinstriping on my Lariat and will be replacing my FX4 sticker with a regular 4x4 Chrome colored sticker also.

They are really easy to take off, just need a heat gun or even a hair dryer. If you decide you don't want it, make the dealer take it off though. If you decide to replace the FX4 sticker at a later point, it'll take you 5 minutes.

REMOVE!! That has to go and get the dealer to do it. Love the truck minus the advertisement on the bottom.

Nice truck keep the stripes

I say they look awsome! It sets that truck apart from all the others while still maintaining that factory look. I think that aftermarket graphics look awfull and cheap, but those look very tastefull. Just my opinion. Merry Christmas to all!
