Lots of factors, but 10-20mpg sounds right. MY 99 Sueprcab 5.4L 4x4 3.73 axle with 32" OEM tires got 14-16. My 20034 Supercrew with same drivetrain, but larger/heavier tires get 11-13.

I'm getting around 14-16 like APT with about the same drivetrain. Looking to do better with a tuner, maybe 1-2 mpg.

I am getting around 14-16 as well and better on the highway. I have an K&N intake, Edge Evolution, and Flowmaster. If anything the flowmaster might be hurting the MPG a little, might be better with a straight through muffler like Magnaflow.

You need to do the math. Guages are not linear. The fuel tanks are probabyl not the same sinze between your truck and your friend's superduty. He may have a 35 gallon tank and you have a 25. so even if you get the same mpg, your guage goes down faster.

Fill the tank up, drive it, fill it up again. Divide mile driven by fuel gallons put in the second time.

My point was, it doesn't matter what he has. You should do the math to figure out what you are actually getting before concluding your truck sucks. Ignore the guage for fuel economy calulations, yours or anyone elses.
