There prolly isn't a selector on the light switch for the fogs, so Im'a say prolly re-wire to a new switch.

OEM Fog lights suck. I haven't driven a vehicle with ones that have anything close to good aftermerket ones I once had. I wouldn't bother with all the effort and cost of putting OEM stuff on. Just get some good Hella or PIaas and you'll be much happier.

Measure the size of the hole in your bumper and check with Piaa or Hella to see if there are any lamps that will look good in there. You want a wide beam fog lamp and the grates are removable.

ya the switches are different, the fogs turn on by pulling out on the headlight switch. it can be done, but its a lot of pissing around, but to each his own. probably set ya back 400 bucks or more using new oem parts. i'd just get some fogs and put them in the opening by the license plate or street scene has an upper valance with fog holes in it, i dont like it but it dont look bad either. just an idea

I got my factory fog lamp valance ($30) and both fogs ($41.75 each) from Certifit (yes, Certifit.com) for much less than 4 bills. I don't see the newer trucks being that much more expensive.

FYI...

The switch for my 2003....over $100 since my brother didn't know what he was doing when he ordered it at his job...

Wow, thats A LOT cheaper than the OEM I was looking into buying...does the valance look the same as the oem version? Never heard of Certifit before, are they just a oem wholeseller or do they make thier own stuff?

Thanks.

Factory stuff, not factory prices.

I bumped into them (well, the Houston warehouse) when I worked for an inventory company a few years back. That place takes all night to inventory, fyi.

I just slapped the valance and fogs on a few days ago.

Nothing but compliments about it.

I got the turn signal mirrors, too. Seeing what one Ebay seller charged (about $140 per mirror) and the fact I got a pair for that much, period, they're worth looking at.

I'm not sure how big the site is about non-sponsors and whatnot, but saving cash is saving cash...

The '03 valance is a plastic valance. The new ones are in the chrome. I would say that the bumper alone will cost around $400.00. You can get fog lamp kits for around $50.00. I'd either get a/m or would have bought one with fog lamps in the first place.

I did that exact change over. My '07 XLT Screw came with the chrome package with a front chrome bumper without fog lamps. I bought a new paintable bumper and the complete OEM fog lamp kit. The change was very significant. It doesn't look like tha same truck.

I love my OEM fog lights. Mines a 2005 so the fogs are square which I like better than the newer round ones. Go for it.

I actually think that the factory fogs on my 2007 work quite well, & are far from sucking! It you want a more intense light, many guys on this forum change out the bulbs for a more intense beam.....
