First Trip!

Well, today I drove my 2007 SCREW 5.4 on it's first real trip! I have to say that I am impressed to say the least. I drove from RI. to the track in Loudon New Hampshire for the NASCAR weekend, I drove at approx. 70MPH-80MPH the whole way up Rte. 93 North, & I averaged 19.6 MPG..I probably would have gotten better MPG's if I would have kept it below 70MPH!...I just installed a ROUSH Dual Exhaust a few days ago, I swear the truck has more HP's during highway cruising.......I am very pleased........

Is that 19.6 mpg on the display, or by dividing miles by gallons used? Pretty outstanding either way.

That's almost exactly what I've been getting on cross country trips. According to my lap top's GPS/trip computer, I'm averaging 19.2 MPG at 70+ MPH. That's with a load of about 400 pounds in the bed and includes going through the Rockies and the Smoky Mountains. It's about 1 MPG more than I got with my '05.

It was calculated the old fashion way of dividing miles travelled by gallons used, so I know it's correct.........

The most important question....How do you like the Roush system now that you've logged some longer miles on her?

I absolutely LOVE the ROUSH SYSTEM! I could never to back to driving a F-150 w/stock exhaust! It has such a nice pleasing throaty rumble to it, even at idle! It is just right, not too much, but definetly not stock by any means! The highway top end seems to have more power over stock, I highly recommend it! The original muffler was so big it belongs on some motorhome.....
