factory Alarm or remote start??

So i thought I read somewhere that there was a factory alarm and remote start for my 06 lariat screw. From calling the dealer, they say no. That they have it installed from someone else, and the alarm/remote start is "Omega" brand.

Does this ring a bell to anyone? I really wanted to get a factory brain/module to have a clean install and not another remote to carry/switch from

I know factory remote start will be an option for 08' but as of now, no. I think you're stuck with aftermarket for now.

Ford sells a remote starter and alarm system. Also has a warranty thats is the same as your truck 3-36. I beleive it comes in 3 stages bronze silver gold.Bbonze is a keyless entry, silver is keyless entry and remote start, gold is keyless entry remote start and alarm. The silver & gold comes with its own remote that replaces the factory one and operates everything. They should have a broshure in the parts dept. showing this and other dealer installed options.

I believe those are Code-Alarm units. IF you would not mind installing yourself and saving a few bucks, KC Autosound has a package with wiring info specifically for the F150's.

how difficult is the install? Is it simple to keep it clean under the dash?

I have installed the Ford remote start system in my 2007 HD F150 pick up. It works great.

It is made by Code Alarm.

Did you do the install yourself? Or did the dealer install? Do you know if it's fairly simple mod or requires a lot of wire splicing and such?

I agree. Hit Travis up at KC Autosound. He has quite a few systems to offer with his pre-wiring. When I say pre-wired it means that he has prepaired your system for you to install it by getting rid of unnecessary wires. He then tapes the harnesses in a way that you will be routing them to the proper locations. He then gives you a step-by-step installation guide with pictures that tells you what wires to go to and what they read on a meter or test light. On top of that he's just a phone call away for tech help that is included with anything he sells.
