Oil change

I have done my oil change plenty of times. Just use a motorcraft oil and filter to cover all your bases. Keeping it OEM until your warranty is over and then you could switch to a other oil brand. Good Luck.

The inspection fee is nothing but a rip off. It takes them 25 seconds to do that. You are throwing your money away big time.

$8.14 for that filter??!!!!!

Walmart price here on exact filter is $3.28!!

You can go to the Walmart here, pay $3.28 for the filter, buy a 5 quart container of Motorcraft 5w20 for $11.00, an additional 2 quarts for $4.50-ish, and pay Walmart $8.50 in labor to change it.

My dealer charges $24.95 to change oil in our F150s including 7 quarts of oil. The "inspection" is free.

Wmart charges as much as the dealership, may be couple dollars less. If I am not doing the oil change myself, Ford dealership will be doing my oil change. By saving few dollars at WM, some problems that could be caught early within the warranty period could be overlooked.

I agree. The dealer has done 90% of mine, but it takes 5 times longer to get there. I don't have a problem with Walmart because I stand at the fence 4 feet from my truck when they do it, so I'm watching.

I just changed my oil this weekend and i paid $18.28 total. walmart has a 5 quart motorcraft semi-synt 5w20 for $10.36 and 2 quarts for $2.32 each and a fl820 s filter for $3.28 and i did my own inspection and everything is A-OK(dont trust anyone with my vehicles cause given the chance they try to sell you anything and i know better) but 20 mins in the driveway and i feel much better then waiting 2 hours for a so-called 30 minute oil change and autozone takes old oil for free

I work too much (2 jobs) and when I'm not working I spend what little time I have with my family. Anyways, I don't have time to go by the dealership and screw around with them folks and I am now approaching 10,000 miles before my first oil change. lol

What should I do? Do you think my warrantee is already screwed? Should I go to the dealership and tell them that? I also have a Volant CAI and Maggies. Rekon they will talk mad ***** ?

US and Canada have it made on Oil Changes

Just to let you know, stop complaining about oil changes in Canada. Here in Panama, I got the shock of my life for my 300 and Screw. Panama is relatively cheap for necessities, but luxories, like cars and maintaining them, are expensive!!!!!!!!!!! The oil changes start out at $25 - 35$ just for labor. Then they charge you for each quart of oil and the filter. Regular quarts of oil can go from $3 - $5 per quart, don't forget the tax. My 300 cost me $60.00 and the Screw $100. Then they wanted an additional $20.00 for a safety inspection; you know what I told them right? I am changing my own for the Screw, but the 300 they made it too hard to get to the filter.
