Welcome to Ford Country!

WOW! Ford has really opened up the luxury options for the XLT! Some of those options were only available on the Lariat & higher models just a few years ago. I don't think any other manufacturer offers options like that in mid-level trucks.

I've had my new '07 Screw for 2 days and just today ordered an A.R.E. LS II Tonneau Covers.

Welcome to the site and nice looking truck you got there. I have the XLT also, but not as loaded as your's. Was looking at the 07's the other day (had the truck in for an oil change) seems they are actually running less than what I paid for my 06, of course could be time of the year also and they're coming down pricewise to clear room for the 08's.

I would agree with the pricing being lower for whatever reason. I believe it's because of the end of the model year, but what do I know. I actually bought my '07 for $1500 less than the same dealer group wanted for a less-equipped '06 XLT. I hit them with the trade-in after we had already locked in the dollar amount for the truck, so I got a pretty good deal.

The 2007 MSRP is lower than 2005/2006 models. After the huge rebates in 2005, Ford & GM announced they were just going to lower the MSRP instead of going through another rebate war.

The MSRP for my '07 FX4 with Luxury Package was almost the same as my '05 FX4 without the Luxury add-ons. Couple that with 0% Ford credit, and the '07 will actually cost me about $5K less if I keep it long enough to pay it off.

drrty,
I wonder why the grills on our '07 XLT Screw's are different?
