Just talked to a guy at fordpartsonline.com, he said he couldn't get the keypad in red (E4) anymore and I would have to have someone paint it. Also the price was quite a bit higher than what some of you guys paid(inflation i guess).

Anyone had any luck at a junkyard? $140 something and then paying to have it painted is pretty steep, at least to me.

as far as i know the keypad is only in black. my door handles are painted the truck colour but my pad is black. i can't remember if my first one was blue or not when they replaced it under warranty.

 

Hmm.... Mine was always black, I have a White lariat, the original pad was black (handle and trim are white) and the replacment I got was black, I didn't realize they even came colored! I think it looks fine and would never have known the difference till now.

The keypad itself is black, the door handle is now only available in black. I tried to order one for my 02 screw in vermillion red (E4), and the parts guy said he couldn't get them in color anymore, so I would have to have it painted to match.

Has anyone ever tried cutting a hole for the keypad in their stock handle?

 

My Expy had colored handles and no black keypad. I wish my handles/pad on my 07 were vehicle color too. - the black looks cheap..
