it has an electric clutch in the TC to use on road, you put it in a4wd (auto-4wd) it runs in 2wd until the ecu senses wheel slip then it engages the TC clutch to drive the front wheels temporarily.... it still has a mechanical lock 4HI and 4LO..... so a total of 4 positions in the expy, (including off).....
